Extraordinary Lives in Motion / A husband and wife photography/film team based in Oklahoma City, OK
Hello! We're Kara and Jeremy Choate. After first meeting in art school, we've managed to sustain a passion for art, family and each other's perspective and style. Now having three little ones of our own, we're especially feeling led to begin documentimg the unique and extraordinary experiences around us. Our aim is to create both fine art printable images, as well 'living' projects captured on film. We'd like to invite you to check out the lives we'll have the priviledge of getting to know. Perhaps we will even have the opportunity to meet you one day:). Cheers, Kara and Jeremy

Jumped in the car and drove to SE Oklahoma for an early Thanksgiving with my grandmother.  My dad grew up in this house.  It looks the very same, as it did when I was a kid.  She keeps a thick photo album of her family in her living room and looks at it every day to remember the past and feel close to those she loves.  At 87, my grandmother works hard to remain independent and positive.  I admire her courage and strength.

She must have cooked for days to prepare for our visit.  She always does.  She wouldn’t have it any other way.

The guy above is my brother-in-law.  We want him to feel loved too:).

The living moment is everything. The next best is its recording.

Good friends of ours have a family farm in Enid, Oklahoma.  I love that it’s been around for many generations.  They invited us to visit last weekend to record a little something visual.  I wanted to share a few images, although Jeremy’s film from our visit is the most incredible.  I’ve been watching him edit next to me:). Check back in a few days.  You’ll want to see what he’s made.  It’s beautiful.

Love you Nic & Jimmy!

October 4th falls on a Tuesday this year, so we celebrated Harper’s birthday this weekend with family and friends. She’ll be 6!  I really can’t believe how fast the years fly.  The girl embodies everything I’d like to try and be more of… if I could bottle her magic, I would:).

Happy early birthday babydoll.  Love love love you…

Our kids’ birthdays are all pretty close together… late July, mid-Sept and early Oct. All three this year didn’t ask for anything fancy for their parties. It’s kind of cool they only wanted to celebrate at the house. Good hearted kids:)

Happy 3rd Birthday to Mr. Harrison Brooks!
