Jumped in the car and drove to SE Oklahoma for an early Thanksgiving with my grandmother. My dad grew up in this house. It looks the very same, as it did when I was a kid. She keeps a thick photo album of her family in her living room and looks at it every day to remember the past and feel close to those she loves. At 87, my grandmother works hard to remain independent and positive. I admire her courage and strength.
She must have cooked for days to prepare for our visit. She always does. She wouldn’t have it any other way.
The guy above is my brother-in-law. We want him to feel loved too:).
Good friends of ours have a family farm in Enid, Oklahoma. I love that it’s been around for many generations. They invited us to visit last weekend to record a little something visual. I wanted to share a few images, although Jeremy’s film from our visit is the most incredible. I’ve been watching him edit next to me:). Check back in a few days. You’ll want to see what he’s made. It’s beautiful.
Love you Nic & Jimmy!
October 4th falls on a Tuesday this year, so we celebrated Harper’s birthday this weekend with family and friends. She’ll be 6! I really can’t believe how fast the years fly. The girl embodies everything I’d like to try and be more of… if I could bottle her magic, I would:).
Happy early birthday babydoll. Love love love you…
